I am not into Twitter or Facebook but if you want up to date info they are an evil necessity.

I have not seen any news on the disappearing fuel no doubt that will appear in the engineering report.

Twitter seems to be having problems.

Nobody seems to know so I’m guessing that the Vulcan didn’t actually ‘lose’ any fuel; if a ‘ton’ of fuel fell out of the Vulcan they had it fixed-up pretty quickly to be displaying yesterday!

Did the operators say why the aircraft lost around a ton of fuel during Saturday’s aboorted flight?

Thank you trumper and TA. I do get over excited at times and can suffer from verbal diarrhoea but I thought that this was a special occasion as VTTS had not issued a flight plan for this event.

The commentator at Coventry was Sean Maffett and he made a very good job of it.

Meh

I should clarify. I don’t feel the need for constant updates TBH

I am sure everybody is happy it flew

OK Just thought that people on the flight path and around Coventry might like to know and I was on the spot. If the problem had been more serious she may well not have flown again. Wont bother again if it upsets you so much that you felt the need to comment. Mind you if you didn’t like the thread why bother looking at it at all?

The way the commentator put it I thought was that they could not account for the indicated “loss” of fuel. Not necessarily a leak.

Which commentator? Coventry?

At Old Sarum the commentator, admittedly with far less information probably, indicated that the Vulcan had developed a ‘major fuel leak’. Very disappointing obviously but, under the circumstances, better safe than sorry!

Very glad to hear the Vulcan is fully serviceable again!

That is my assumption but do not actually know yet. Just hope they found what was wrong and it does not happen again today.
