I am seeking information on W/Cdr Carter to be added to a 97 Squadron website.
W/Cdr E.J. Carter assumed command of 97 Squadron in January 1944 transferring in from 82 OTU. He was killed on D Day June 6th 1944.
I am seeking pictures of W/Cdr Carter and details of his service prior to taking command of 97.
I know he served with 214 Squadron from 1939 until 1940 from there on I know nothing so any help would be appreciated.

Bumping this one up again. After Graham Simons came up with a lead for another picture I was looking for I am hoping I will have similar luck with this request.

I am hopeful that someone can come up with a picture of W/Cdr. Carter to include here.
