Hi, i came across this enquiry about my father W/O Leslie James Baker about a month ago. He worked for Bristow Helicopters in the late fifties and sixties after leaving the RAF.
If the persons are genuine and still searching I may be able to assist.

I recieved this e-mail asking for help,This is where you chaps come in, so any help would be very welcome. Thankyou.
I wonder if you can advise,my friend is trying to locate a great uncle by marriage,,the family lost touch many years ago;;and the olny information,that’s known,,name ,last known address,and service number,,he served in the RAF,and was a W/O. Pilot ;service No-1602432,last known in Darlington when he married,
His name is ;Leslie James Baker,he did work at/for,British Helicopters?

Can you tell me how she can get to know if he is still alive and belong to another association, there are only 2 elderly members of the family left ,and they know nothing more.

If they write to the local tax office, explaining all in a letter.
If they have any details, they might forward the letter to him, but won’t reveal his present address, etc.

Try UK Servicepals Channel 4 Teletext Page 152. I have had great success tracking down old oppos on there, there are other options but try this first as RAF Innsworth charge for searches and will only give this info out to NEAREST next of kin.
