WADDINGTON AIRSHOW QUESTION

Hi guys I am going to the Waddington airshow on the on Saturday 1st July, does anyone know if there is a early bird car park ?
Ie Can we go up on Friday night and kip in the car by the airfield.

Any information would be most welcome.

Steve, Just booked a Travelodge in Grantham bang on the A1.

We will go up Friday and come back on the Sat after the show , I will look forward to the drive back to London. !!!

I went up a few years ago (the year the Israeli F15 was there) and kipped in my car overnight in the car park near Coleby Grange control tower, about four miles south of Waddington on the A15. Hope that helps…

Look like I will have to go to plan B, try and book in to a travelodge in Newark.

nope no where to overnight, but they do open up on the Friday to view the arrivals, think its about £5 a car or something – worth doing, especially as the normal viewing enclosrue will be closed.. :rolleyes: I’ve not had a problem getting in or out of Waddo, I normally ignore the signs directing you to car parks round the Waddo village side and use the enterance off of the A15 by the viewing enclosure.. I very much doubt that the security at this operational airfield would allow it!
