Waddington Photos, Sat 26th June

Todays show reminded me of the old Finningley shows – cold and grey, but at least their was a Vulcan to hide under, just like when I was a kid 😀 .

Historic element pretty thin on the ground unfortunately, cross winds kept the BBMF weathered in at Coningsby, and the Cat remained in the static park.

Anyhow a few shots from today

Could be a slight misunderstanding there “tail”, Dennis should really have put a comma after the word “from”.

. . . or maybe not! Quite confusing this English innit!

Cold, wet and windy – still had a capacity crowd though.

Chinook’s display was very good. This pic is oriented correctly, it really did achieve some awesome angles.

And enjoyed the Spanish team’s display, subtley different in that they managed to have a singleton or a pair in front of the crowd the whole time they were on. Nice display management, even though they could use a faster aircraft.

I know this is probably one for the ‘military’ section but why is Eurofighter now a two seat, what is the single seater and how does it vary???

Always thought it was a nice looking thing (for a modern jet) but that two seater looks hidious…
