Waiting for keypublishing.com…

Is anyone else experiencing this problem when trying to access the forums?

It seems to happen on an almost daily basis for me and usually in the early – mid evening. Very long wait while “key” thinks about it, then a “timed out” message. Come back in anything from ten minutes to half an hour and try again.

I’m used to the “Forum will be closed for maintenance for a few minutes” message that we got with the old forum but this seems to be a product/peculiarity(?) of the new forum.

Is it maintenance or does the Webmaster turn the gas down when he clocks off in the evening?

Any ideas, Mods? 🙁

I often have a quiet word with myself, however the chaps in the white coats, say they have given up any hope after 72 yrs of trying 😀 .

My job too Deslpilot, but I only had to go around the corner to the leccy shop.
Dyaknow, I havn’t seen one of those old glass accumulators for years, even at a boot sale.
There must be an “Accumulation” of them somewhere :highly_amused:

Nah Tony, I had let the glass accumulator run down, and forgot to get them re charged at the local leccy shop, (AND we did use to have to do that on a Friday, 2/6p, and that was for the valve radio).Otherwise there would have been no “Dick Barton” special agent to listen to. :highly_amused:

Oh happy times. As a kid it was my job to get it done. That meant a 2 mile hike through the mud and snow of country Essex and that ‘accumulator’ got heavier with every step.

I keep telling you Jim, the Valves in your PC need to warm up before you try to access the web..

It’s due to the NSA slurping up data for their nefarious needs….
