Apologies for the quality but I got another shot of the ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE formation of the Camel going flat out while the Mk XVI was nearly stalling…The Spit is actually maintaining altitude ONLY JUST at the high angle of attack !!!!

Yep Arm Waver, I have taken a look and it is a great differance indeed. The one seen here at Wanaka has been modified a lot. You can hardly speek of a me108 anymore. But still nice to look at it.

and another…
By: turbo_NZ - 14th April 2004 at 10:19
The Me-108 has butane cannons that actually make machine gun noises over the noise of the aircraft even in flight…
But the Hurri got scrambled and shot it down.
SO ……..it landed , taxi-ed along and “shot up” the crowd while taxi-ing…:D
Anyway, I have to admit to my love of the Nan’s…

…….. any idea who was flying the Poli’s ?
Thanks….actually the P-40 was taxi-ing in after a display…
The Chaika & Ratas were flown by John Peterson, Steve Taylor and John Lanham.
Also I think John Lamont took another of the Rata’s up but had to do a quick landing due to a problem (never did find out what went wrong).
