You would of thought that being the coordinator of the Blackburn Buccaneer Society, I would have a big collection of Bucc’s performing air displays, but sadly not.
What I am really after is a sequence of a complete display from take off to landing, if any one can help or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

When I find the other footage Nige, I will at least know where it was taken and what year as I used to write it on the tape cover. Exact day and month is your cookie:D

Got to go careful here, started posting too many messages on forums, people might start thinking that I’m an armchair aviation fan 😮 😀
If I remember correctly it was undertaken by XZ431, which strangely, will be coming down for the anniversary weekend, albeit as only a nose section now.
Any other footage would be great as well, don’t worry too much about not knowing the dates as I am sure, through our resources, we can locate the exact date and the crew.

Your welcome mate. Thats what we’re here for.;)
I’m sure I have some other footage on vhs somewhere with other Buccaneer displays on but can’t remember where the footage was taken or how long it lasts but I know for a fact that the Leicester Buccaneer is a full routine because of it being it’s final year.

Now that’s more like it Rob, the reason behind the display footage is so that during our 50th Anniversary do at Bournemouth, one of the ex-display pilots can talk us through the sequence.
Many thanks in advance.

I have some vhs video footage of a Buccs full display routine at Leicester Air display in it’s final year of display and I can remember now how it was a very damp and muggy day and how on her final pass she was very close to the barrier.
The condensation pouring off her was a sight I’ll never forget.
I’ll try and find the said video, which I know I still have somewhere and I’ll send it too you Nige.
Or hand it over to you personally when we go to Scampton:D
