Warbird Pilot on Secret Mission….

Hi Y’all
I’m a new poster from The Mid West.
I was reading the court and society pages of our local organ this morning (The Dogpatch Gazette) and came across a piece by their roving society reporter who’d found his way to Little ol’ England. Hot on the trail of a Kansas City society celebrity called Mr Stephen Patterson.
I Quote from the paper.

“It seems from what our reporter could gather that the said Mr Patterson was travelling in a degree of secrecy (and Disguise) on a certain mission.
When questioned Mr Patterson at first very reticent but later much more vocal later after a certain amount of alcohol.
He told our reporter that’
“I’ll tell you what, I’m here on a secret mission so don’t tell the goddamn Limeys all they’ll be seven shades of hell to pay.
Yu See I’m after a new airplane and I’ll tell you what, it’s hiddeen at a little ol’ place called Duxford just along the turnpike from here.
It’s a Faireey Firefly and it’s yellow and I’ll tell you what it’s a real nice slo airplane so I can put all the kids and houndawgs in the back and my cousin Duanne and his wife Arleene and their kids Duke and Ike.
I’ll tell you what, it’ll be jus’ like The Beverly Hill Billies with Goddamn wings.
So there we are, a secret airplane buying mission.
The only thing our reporter couldn’t explain was who the gentleman on Mr Patterson’s right was who kept repeating,

“Stephen Darling you really must concentrate on waving your handkerchief in time with the music.”

I hope this helps you Limeys
HJ

Quote Von Perthes

I’ll remember that as I wave to you from the back seat of ‘Southern Cross’ as we do a fast run along the Duxford runway next year. I’ll probably be wearing the flight suit I bought cheap off Andy, seeing as he wont be needing it now

Gnomex. How’s that for losing your place by the pond. 😀

Melvyn…
say hi to Tony Harmsworth for me, willya? Just don’t send the kilt pic.
Mark

Mark
Big mistake.
Never ever send anyone a picture here with the line ‘Please don’t send’ attached.
No doubt MH has already altered it and sent it to Tony Harmsworth.
That’s how all this got started!!

Melvyn…

Guess what I keep stored under that kilt? It has a long barrel…and to quote Clint…”and would blow your head CLEAN OFF….so you gotta ask yourself….do you feel LUCKY? Well? Do ya….PUNK!?”

Not referring to you, Mel…just a movie line….say hi to Tony Harmsworth for me, willya? Just don’t send the kilt pic.

Mark,

Don’t look at the camera like that. You are scaring me.

Please tell me you don’t own too many guns.

Certainly NOT a ‘MORRIS’ dancer, tho…Hmph!

Whaddya think….do the ‘Buchanan’ tartan colors go with my eyes?

Um,
Mark Morris, you might want to bear in mind that dancing in white pants on this side of the Atlantic is a lot more -ah- revealing than dancing in white trousers. Very VERY bad image there… 😀
Cheers!

With Mark’s recent research into his family lineage and the discovery that he can now wear Buchanan tartan, pants of any type might become irrelevant. 😮 😮 😮 😮 😉 😉 😮
See Ya

Sad…

Geoff
I’m saddened by your apparent reluctance to put the boot into Patty when he’s off line at Reno and not able to defend himself. I’ll be the one that pays in the end so you might as well have a good time. 😉 😉 🙂 🙂

There’s always that possibility. I’m sure he’s reading this somewhere and biding his time.

In which case, I wish to publicly dissassociate myself from this cruel slurr on your private life Steve. You still have one friend over here.

BTW I have today recieved confirmation that following your take-over of Shepherd-Neame, production of ‘Spitfire’ ale is to be stopped within the week, and replaced by the new ‘L-39’ larger, which as requested is brewed to taste better when served warm.

Geoff.

P.S. The RNHF have reported that the Seahawk & Sea Fury have passed their air-tests & will be ready for the ferry flight in a few weeks. Please email me to confirm when you have completed your Seahawk conversion course.

All I know is my last name is Morris..
I’m thinking of changing it back to its original spelling of Maur Rys to avoid further embarrassment. And I don’t dance…well…very well….and certainly not in white pants.

Robbo
Are you saying that you think Patty might have launched this thread himself?
As a sort of way of ‘outing’ himself?
Wow, that is perverse.
Perhaps he needs help.
It’s a shame he can’t break cover and defend himself.

You look good good in the leather gear.
Does Carol go for that in a big way?
All the best
Andy 😀 😀 😀

That is not me Bandy, I can’t grow a tash like that!

Careful, you know I said I would take you for a flight in the Rearwin? When did I specify that would include a landing?
