Warbird pilots – sporting bans – FAA

Hi I think there should be consideration given by the FAA or whatever it’s called now in the States to banning well known forum members and warbird pilots from engaging in additional sporting activity such as – sking for instance.
Apparently this happened recently resulting in a damaged Forumite and pilot – I am not prepared to name my sources here but trust me it happened and should be banned – a nice sedate sport like warbirds shouldn’t be interferred with by racous sking or marbles etc

….older Sea Fury pilots might want to take this into consideration to prevent FURTHER skiing injuries…

I was once offered skiing lessons by my granddad, who happened to work at our local dry ski-centre.

Probably made a wise decision when I turned him down… 😉

It’s very slick in Aspen these days…..even the celebrities fall on their asses on occasion…

One of the reasons I snowboard, one does’nt leave wreckage all over the hill when one takes a spill….much easier on the knees, too….older Sea Fury pilots might want to take this into consideration to prevent FURTHER skiing injuries…

You Know,

If he was so interested in combining Sking and Airplanes he should have just given me a quick Call I could have help him on this and it would have saved him allot of $$ instead of going to Aspen he could have come up to Maine to some rather nice Ski Flying :p :diablo:

Hope he’s on the mend hear from a little birdy all it will take is some yime and it will mend. 😀

Cheers

Here’s a sensible way of combining flying and skiing. There’s even enough room in the back to store Morris Dancing appareil.

Hi
Yes I have heard that the member for Kansas is very interested in steps and in particular step ladders – arrangements have been put in place to import large quantities of stepladders into both NZ and Australia to support his visit.

So what mischief has the well known forum member and warbird pilot done to himself then?

Was it anything to do with the men’s downhill formation morris dancing event held recently in Aspen?

Hi

I think this could take the place of the national insignia on sea Furies in the US or at least could be trialed on one of them…………………….

I did a little digging around, Setter, and they already have a bill in the works that all pilots must place this insignia on their aircraft as a reminder that snow has but one purpose, to look pretty on the front of Christmas Cards… 😀

Hi

Great resource for sking warbird pilots, handled well it could result in the purchase of a Centauras and 5 blade prop……………….
