I know there are a lot of divers who log on here so I thought you may be interested in this. The guys who run divetheworld.com are going to be arranging a diving trip in the South of France and spend a week diving warbirds. The area around Marseille is littered with the wrecks of WWII aircraft and they have made contact with a dive operator in the area to dive them. The dive operator is the guy who found the P38 that was flown by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry who wrote the book “Little Princes”. Check out the divetheworld.com forum where there is an area called Aircraft Underwater and there is a thread about the week. If you’re interested just put your name down and when they get details and prices they will let everyone know. I will definately be going as it sounds like it’s going to be a great time. At the moment they are just seeing what interest there is. 😀 😀

It’s not for me. Hell, I dived in shorts and a T Shirt once, with rocks in my BC – forgot some of my gear!!!! At least it was warm there, and vis was VERY good.
Mind you, last dive I made was in 1 metre vis at most and I surfaced after about 3 metres – lost sight of my buddy, who wasn’t interested in being buddied to anyone. Fool. Bobbed around for 5 minutes before the guy in the dive boat saw me – had been shark fishing there the night before and had a few between us. Hoho.

Nooooooo no no. Here in the UK. So I won’t bother getting into it again and thus wouldn’t go.
The UK has some lovely diving. Great vis. Lots of marine live. Lots of wrecks.

Without a tail, Douglas Bader’s Spitfire flew on…and on…and on….and ended up in the Med and now you will find it, Ali! Sorry…couldnt resist that. Have a good time. Wish I could dive. Andy
Maybe it’s those aliens that abducted him realised the aircraft was damaged and chucked it out the back. 😀

Eh, he’s got hooked now.
I qualified years ago, but haven’t dived for years. Sounds good but i’m too rusty. Quite fancy it though – maybe I should get back into it again. On second thoughts it’s just too damned cold and murky here.
