Warbirds of Great Britain’s P40-N

Whilst sorting through some slides over the Christmas period and attempting to put them into some sort of order (failed and went down the pub) I came across these shots of Warbirds of Great Britain’s P40-N (33915/44-7983)

Taken on Christmas Eve 1991 at Biggin Hill this was the only time I ever saw the aircraft. I believe they where ‘setting the compass’ from memory.

Think it left the UK during the mid nineties for the US.

Anyone know if it made any UK airshow appearances, see it fly or know where the ‘bird’ resides now?

cheers

Probably still in the same container that its been in since November 1992.

It was certaintly still in it at GC last June. I believe it has some “modifications” on the leading edge u/c blister fairings now. Something to do with a dodgy crane…………. 😉
