Wartime crash in Worcestershire

At a weekend wartime themed event in Tenbury Wells I saw several references by eye witnesses to a ‘German’ aircraft crashing at Kyre Pool which is close to Tenbury Wells.

I’ve had a look through the listing published by the Midland Aircraft Recover Group and can’t see anything, allied or German, that fits. I expect that aircraft rec wasn’t a strength with the locals in this rural backwater and this German aircraft is likely to be something mundain like a Tiger Moth but I’d be interested to know what it was as would my sisters friend who now lives close to Kyre Pool.

Anyone got a better clue?
