Was there any contemporary wartime music (or music from before WWII) that was adopted by members of Bomber Command as a sort of theme tune or at least music that will always be associated with them?
i.e. in the same way that the British Eighth Army adopted Lili Marlene as their own piece of music.

Dave, The Whiffenpoof Song AKA The Air Gunners’ Anthem comes to mind. I learned this from my late Dad who was a M/UG. An excellent book is Bawdy Ballads & Dirty Ditties
