We sadly have to report our Hon Curator Oliver Merrington died just before our first opening last week he will be a greatly missed. The collection was his baby and he worked tirelessly to bring back the museum into its former rooms at Waterbeach Barracks. 39 Engineer Regiment left in 2013 and the Barracks closed. Now the MOD have apointed Urban&Civic to develop the site for housing and industry. Looking at 6000 homes on the barracks site and several thousands around the edge so possibly a town of twelve thousand by 2040.
