Well I must say the storm was life threatening and was worth putting up a thread about it.
The wind blew and the rain rained. And?
In the meantime – what is your signature all about?

I think we got it in Copenhagen today – it was dreadful there! Now I’m back in Gothenburg and drying out!

Oh well at least it saved me having to water the garden, rain always does the job so much better. As for wind, I ask you to spare a thought for the people on the Falkland Islands, they are so used to windy conditions down there that unless the wind gets above 35 knots they think it’s just a breeze

Tuesday night
Outbreaks of rain over England and Wales will move erratically northeast, becoming slow-moving over northern areas. Drier conditions will follow into the south and west, but with blustery showers and risk of gales.Outlook
Wednesday
Much of Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England will be dull and wet, heavy, persistent rain at times. Sunny intervals and blustery showers will affect the south and southwest. It will be windy with local gales.Thursday
Rain, locally heavy, will continue across parts of Scotland and some eastern areas, eventually clearing during the morning. Otherwise, a mixture of sunshine and showers, some heavy with risk of thunder.
Better batten down the hatches then; it is the end of the world again…

Sounds like the famous big storm, Michael Fish moment: ” A young lad called EAL King has phoned in to say he’s heard there’s going to be a big storm or hurricane hitting the south tomorrow?” “Well don’t worry young lad we at the Met Office can assure you there’ll be no such thing”
And the next day……. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHH!!!!!

Thats funny it doesn’t mention BIG STORM or HURRICANE on that site anywhere ?? , in fact the weather forecast is no worse than the rain of recent , someone panicking slightly??? . If you want an accurate weather forecast try the Met Office .
Accurate weather forecast ?????? look out the window !
Dont take much notice of weather nowadays after what we used to put up with while living in Cyprus….sand storms, tornadoes etc etc…..UK weathers a bit boring really. However, I have made sure that the empty milk bottles have a convenient house brick over them to stop them getting blown away and I havent had to water the plants tonight either.
