The quotas will have to stay for the forseeable future. Once things have stabilised, I will review the 5mb limit to see if it can be increased as I will give you as much space as I can spare. However at the moment I cant promise anything. However as Robbo suggested, opening a Photobucket account will go a long way to alleviate the problem. Most of you should also have some webspace from your ISP which you could use to store images. For those of you who are over the 5 mb limit I recomend you look at these alternatives before you start deleting images. Also as I said before if you need any help pm or email me and I will give you a hand.

I have a long running gripe – computers should serve people not the other way around. We ran out of disk space at work recently and decided on the more efficient of two options: 1. Have everybody in the company spend two or three hours deleting old e-mails with attachments and searching for large files and duplicates or 2. Have the IT manager spend a day and a couple of hundred quid on an additional drive for the server.
We should support attempts to optimise the forum but isn’t the site run as a business (it carries advertising).
If we need an urgent temporary solution I’d prefer to see Key archive old threads than for us to delete swathes of the forum. I’m new here and haven’t read all the threads that first caught my eye. How many have now gone?

Appreciate your problem webbie. Is this a permanent issue or will Mr. E, sanction an increase in storage capacity??
Its a pity so many are being forced to delete images as they are one of the delights of the site.
I hate to think what may happen when the 2007 Airshow season starts! 😮

I have posted an announcement about this across the board so check that out. We were running critically low on disk space hence the course of action we had to take. Before you start throwing out all your old images drop me a pm or an email and I will see what I can do to help.

i found this prob last night, thought it was just me doing somthing wrong!!!

i was using 9.61Mb and only allowed 4ish….just deleted a pile….pity. As soon as I can get someone to do my website i will post pix in a snapshot album

NOW, get a few flash disk’s, a cd/dvd burner some blank CD’S or DVD’s
And just trawl through as many pic’s you can save BEFORE they are all gone to the wind.
