website blunder

I was looking on lufthansa’s websites to see what type of aircraft it would be. I have looked on other websites in the past before i’ve gone on holiday and it said a totally different aircraft to what it actually was. Can any say whether this is always the case or do websites actually state the correct information?

We get A300s in Dublin somtime from LH so its not unusual for them to change to them at the last minute.

I was just in Faro, last week for the Greece-Russia game. I stayed in Albufeira, very nice! On the way back up north, I passed countless busses full of England supporters on their way up to Lisbon from Faro. I believe my aircraft from FRA-OPO on LH was upgraded in similar fashion described by Peter. initially it was an A321 but it turned out to be an A300 perhaps due to the number of soccer fans flying into Porto for the matches.

From EDI it’ll most likely be a 733 or a 735.

A sprinkling of A321s if last year is anything to go by. 😀

It should also be mentioned that the planes listed on the website are only a rough guide, as has been stated things happen and planes get pulled from flights right at the last minute!

thankz for that. the departure time from edinburgh is 06.55 and leave frankfurt at 13.25. Cumin back it is the 16.30 from FAO leaving frankfurt at 21.45.

Actually, the first and last flights of the day are often the Avros I’ve found. 🙂

Well that was bad timing, just to change my mind and be proven wrong! :p

EDI-FRA is operated by 733s and FRA-FAO by 321s according to LH’s website for the dates and times you’ve given

The LH website is very accurate on a/c and route information I’ve always found! It’s normally the expedia website that gets it wrong the most out of all sites.

On the desktop timetable it says all flights to faro are A321 and Edinburgh are RJ70/85/100.

During the summer the EDI flights get upgraded to 737s.

A320, 7373, or RJ100! It is the only LH types I have seen at EDI…

From EDI it’ll most likely be a 733 or a 735.

The planes that are used can always be changed. Maybe that at the moment you booked LH intended to use one plane, but that the got another plane instead because they sold more/less seats then expected.
