When I first try to enter this forum from google, I keep finding myself on http://myfilestore.com/download.php?id=5f7fa389 which rather looks like spam. If I try again I get to the forum okay. This behaviour is consistent at the moment. Has the site been compromised?

Every now and then, Firefox (currently 50.0.2) locks up and does not respond. It actually locks up the system (Windows 7 SP1 Professional) and I have to “push the button” to restart. The Key Aviation Forum is loading a lot of “crap” in the background. This time it happened while getting data from “stat.comoona.com” or “stat.komoona.com” (spelling). Does Key och we really need all that “crap”, presumably related to advertising? It has come to the point where I don’t visit the forum while working with other programs.

It might be if the clock was stopped when ‘they’ switched it off!

THAT was never a few minutes.

Well, after the site was offline yesterday I was rather hoping the matter would be fixed, but no, it is still there…
Same with Opera!

I think a big thank you to Key for supplying this website, I know some have had a pop about their lack of sorting it out and now all explained.
Thanks Andy
and thank you KEY for the forum

I do know that Key Publishing are aware and trying to deal with these issues.
However, I’m also aware that the lead in-house IT specialist (and Webbie) has very recently left Key’s employment and emigrated to NZ whilst another member of the team is (or shortly will be) on maternity leave.
I think things might be a bit stretched, capacity-wise, in that department – but, as I say, those who need to know ARE aware.
Normal service will be resumed, and all that…

Yes, me too via Google results. Reported it last Thursday to the ‘webmaster’, whoever he/she may be, but no reply as yet.

:apologetic: Still fed up with the “bouncing page” when the unwanted advert pops up at the top of the page
By: Dave Homewood - 5th December 2016 at 01:50
Every time I get a notification link by email and click it I am taken to the spam site. Key must have a bug in its system.
I doubt anyone will bother to do anything to fix it though, they’ve never bothered to fix the search engine
By: wieesso - 2nd December 2016 at 18:57
…also by access via Opera!
By: Otter - 2nd December 2016 at 07:58
Only seems to happen when I access via chrome, never via Firefox.

I notice that google now warns “This site may be hacked”.
By: windhover - 24th November 2016 at 16:42
It is a redirect hack exploiting within Vbulletin on the Key Publishing Historic Forum. It doesn’t appear to affect the main Key Publishing.com site, and only happens on first hit from Google Search.
The webmaster needs to address this as members and visitors can do nothing about it.
Until it’s sorted the best bet is to bookmark the Historic forum page and use that instead of Google Search.
