RE: Weekend Activity
In the summer I help out in a small museum in Pickering (Beck Isle). In winter I go shopping (very boring activity in a wasteland like Scarborough), play on my Playstation 2, care for my birds (I keep exotic finches), walk my dog and sometimes go out for a meal (Scarborough does have excellent restaurants – Italian, Indian, Chinese, Greek) and every Saturday night I have a bottle of beer (more often than not a Belgian beer).

RE: Weekend Activity
Day off time? Computer, beach now with the warmer weather, movie or two, shopping and just lazing around. 🙂
Regards, Glenn.

RE: Weekend Activity
Cricket is followed like religion in India….very populour here. It has a very fat rules book so and is a little complicated. Scoring is simple……if they hit and run from one end to another of a pitc…counts as 1 run. If they hit the ball indirectly at the end of the fields counts as 4 runs and if they hit the ball over everybodys heads in the crowd, or out of the statdium…its 6 runs. Still complicated eh!:)

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-10-02 AT 09:04 AM (GMT)]Cricket !!!!! Thanks Kabir for raising this.
I remember being in this Hotel near London during a business trip and I had a couple of hours before a meeting.
I had the strange idea to watch cricket on TV in order to try to understand this game. Damnit , a couple of hours later , I still hadn’t a clue of what it was about. The game seems to be a bit like baseball (!!!) but the score system is a mystery !!!

Jamie
Motor bike club bit of land ?
I take it from that, you are into off roading ?. the bike club here at RAF Akrotiri has its own off road track and we do a fair bit of rider training for those who havent riden before. We hold a Chappiethon (Moped) marathon race twice a year (one six hour and one twenty four) for charity and generaly have a good time.
I’ve just recently sold my Fireblade and when I get back from the UK this weekend am going to Nicosia to buy a Harley. I’ve also got a fouteen year old Honda XL 125 trialy that I use for bimbling around on the Bondhu.
cheers
Gary
