Brum with some mates on Saturday, apart from that probably relaxing, for the next few weekends i’ve got Bruntingthorpe, then the weekend after going to the Assault Glider Project open day at RAF Shawbury, then possibly the Victory Show here in Leicestershire, theres going to be some flypast, one i’m looking forward to is the Thunderbolt from Duxford, never seen one fly before

I am heading off for a week of R&R to a large cottage with a large swimming pool. And the last 3 Flypast mags that I have not had chance to read yet!! 😉 Anna 😉 😀 😀

I went through stages, at school it was Madness, The Specials, The Selecter. etc I recall going through a heavy metal stage after school after seeing Hawk Wind, Uriah Heep and Gillian at the Monsters of Rock concert Donnington Park.

Gillian?????!!! 😮 I am sure Ian (great name 😀 ) would be suitably impressed, as would Joan Lord etc!!!!!!!!!

All of these were complete anathema to me when I were a lad, as I spent my time listening to Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Rainbow etc and anything not deemed to be heavy rock was dismissed without another look……. Musical tastes have become more catholic since.

Well Anna, I was chatting with Ed’s brother and wife. Ed was around but I didn’t notice him.
