Arrive Back on the EZY741 at 21.00. If the course is over early ill try and get back on the one before that 🙂
Since your away can I escort the pax for the flight and do baggage etc. Would be fun!

Haha, sorry Grey, couldn’t resist.
Monty, what time do you arrive back in BFS on Wednesday? I may pop up for an hour or two if that is indeed the day that Zoom are starting.

Well,I hadn’t actually seen that! I did ask if it was on the opposite side to Charlwood House, which it is! Apologies to one and all! I had been planning a visit, and had looked at a map previously, but missed the ‘Mus’ then too.

Being pedantic, does it actually say ‘Museum’ Grey? 😀
I know….. I know…..
I’ve changed it now.

If that is the museum marked and hightlighted in blue on the map
You mean where it says “Mus” for “Museum”? :D:D:D

How are you getting south?
If that is the museum marked and hightlighted in blue on the map, then from my education that is north of the 08 thresholds :S

Well, looks like south to me,presuming the maps the right way up! Unless of course the museum is not on the same side as Charlwood village/House?
Let’s have a vote!

You sure that’s not SOUTH?
Very sure

LGW Hilton is one of the better airport hotels in the UK. It is particularly ‘crew-friendly’, with good crew discounts….from memory….a generous Happy Hour in the downstairs (Jockey?) bar, half price drinks until about 2200, 25-30% discount off food in Amy’s (Tex-Mex/American themed resteraunt on first floor) until 1900, and a small (but cheap) crew-only room service menu. All of the above are for crew, but maybe if your reservation has been made through Continental you may qualify….always worth asking.
However, available to all, not widely advertised, one of the little LGW Hilton secrets, is……small fanfare…..FREE FOOD! Downstairs in the Jockey Bar at 1800, free hot snacks. Be there prompt, as you will find impoverished airline pilots circling like vultures!
Apart from that, the culinary delights of the South Terminal (ie McDonalds)are within walking distance. Be warned, if you have your own car, parking at the Hilton is extortionate (£16 per day)….far cheaper to use the airport Long Term parking across the road.
And for a little nosey, try the Gatwick Aircraft Museum at Charlwood (immediately to the north of the 08 thresholds) http://www.gatwick-aviation-museum.co.uk/ but their opening hours are rather restricted.
Failing that, take a camera and sit out the front of the hotel….that’s the Hilton bottom right.
