Wellesbourne Airfield under threat ?

I worked in the area, and lived in the village, for a coupe of years just as it closed and was put under Care and Maintenance so saw it become empty and weedcovered. It was a joy to pass it many years later and see a thriving GA airfield with the magnificent Vulcan to one side. It will be a great shame if it closes but in the Littlers’ shoes perhaps the decision makes sense.

Tragic.

It will always be a special field for me, the one where I learned to fly back in 1988.
