Last Friday I visited the Wellington Aviation Museum at Moreton-in-Marsh only to find it closed until further notice due to flood damage. The whole building had been under water and it was a sorry sight to see the floorboards being ripped up. I spoke to Gerry Tyack who as you know is dedicated to our cause but he is not a young man and I hoped he would be able to open asap. Readers who know him might like to drop him a line to his address which is on http://www.wellingtonaviation.org/ to offer him support as he is not e-mail orientated. I will advise when the museum reopens.

That’s a real shame. I hope it was only the flooring that was damaged, and not the exhibits. I went there last year, and it was a great little museum.
