The Brooklands Museum in Surrey which has the ex-Loch Ness Wellington N2980. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first flight of the prototype a special event will take place at the museum on 15 June:
Brooklands Museum will be opening a new exhibition, centred around the Loch Ness Wellington bomber. The exhibition will be opened at 11.30am by Wing Commander Ken Wallis MBE, World War Two Wellington pilot and Norman Parker, World War Two Wellington factory worker.
At 2pm there will be a Wellington lecture by Norman Parker in the Clubhouse – all welcome!
If you come you’ll see that their Concorde G-BBDG has now been turned round to now face into the prevailing wind and by the above date may also be repositioned in front of the other Vickers aircraft.

WELLINGTON 75TH Anniversary at Brooklands 15 June 2011
For those that missed it, the event went off very well and a tribute from WW2 Wellington pilot Ken Wallis was a highlight. Invited guests were entertained at the end of the new exhibition opening by Penelope Keith with a taxying demonstration by a large-scale model of a Wellington.
