Wellington Losses 18 OTU Bramcote

Would they be a list of aircraft loses for 18 OTU RAF Bramcote .
or any other info regarding the disposal of aircraft from RAF Bramcote .
just that I’m looking at and been talking to some old locals from
our village and I’ve looked at an old site that could have the remains of a Wellington buried from a maybe crash .

cheers if any one can find some good info of the old RAF Bramcote from 1940’s and any images would be great air to ground pics would be a big bonus.Just doing some in research of the area that sits on my doorstep.
Cheers Rich.

Have you considered the possibility it might be a Luftwaffe bomber – shot down while attacking Coventry. I’ve no idea if anyone’s got locations for those though.

Thanks for the links . very helpfull.
was just looking in on a few crash sites i know of in the local area, and the crater just west a few miles from Bramcote, and looking on maps and recent google earth images what looks like the outline of a bomber footprint . in said crater.

Happy new year

You will find some photographs from Bramcote if you go to this website: http://www.geocities.com/skrzydla/ and select 300 and 301 squadrons. Also the first three photos here: http://www.polishairforce.pl/dyw300zdj.html and the first photo here:http://www.polishairforce.pl/dyw301zdj.html
