Isn’t it strange that until you can’t use something you don’t realise how often you use it ! ( hope I never lose my drinking arm )
It’s only over the last few days that I realise that I must drop in here 5 or 6 times a day as a rule to see what’s afoot.
Lets show a vote of thanks to the webteam for their hard work. By the way check your profiles folks, mine has altered a little but nothing that couldn’t be sorted easily.
regards to all

Ah, it’s good to be back. Bladdy inconsiderate hackers – because of them, I actually had to do some work last week. Not amused…. 😡

I’ve been in Germany all week so didn’t know it was down, till last night.
I was sat at Nuremburg airport on the rooftop cafe/bar waiting to come home when one of AirAtlantiques Electras came trogging in, made me fell quite at home – not that I live in Coventry but, well you know what I mean.

Hear,hear.
We take it for granted sometimes, and it doesn’t hurt to be reminded that there are ‘real’ people out there who keep all this going for us.
Didn’t know what I was going to do without snippets from The Spitfire Duster!:)

Not sure about the water, I have a bottle of Estonian beer, Saaremaa, on my desk at work, its 10% abv. Haven’t had the courage to try it yet 😎
I’ll stick to Arran Dark.
Still tis good to be back, nearly had to open that bottle.

The contest was set up by a elderly Estonian woman apparently. What’s in the drinking water in Estonia I wonder ?
Here’s a news report about it. BBC NEWS

…although this has forced their hands, proving that we do in fact HAVE a webmaster-after the steadfast silence that always greeted the ‘Spooky’ threads! 😉

I’ve certainly missed it.
I actually logged on while they were hacking it, early hours of Monday morning after a huge computer crash. First a couple of swastikas and then more and more bits started disappearing.
Looks like a great job rebuilding the databases.
Perhaps we should stop shouting at the webmaster for a week or so.

I must admit that I was suffering a lot of deprivation, forumlessness, or whatever. It’s good to see y’all back!

anyway, as a bit of a warm-up for next weekend, just imagine the attached ‘lot’ appearing overhead Duxford…

Well done web team to get us back together again.
I asked the Manston History Museum why their website had disappeared last Autumn. They told me they were hacking into and abusive language appeared on the pages. As they are only a small team they decided not to try and rebuild it. Great shame.

Yes, a big and well deserved thank you for getting the forum back in action. Heard on Sky News today (Ithink) , apparently many websites were ‘hacked’ last weekend as part of a competition to see who could break the most sites. Strange eh?

I noticed the hackers work first thing Monday morning, it was such a shock that I thought I’d but the wrong address in so tried it again. Thanks very much to the Key team and the Webmaster for getting us back online.

Phew, what a releif that we’re back on! Thanks to everyone for getting it back online so quickly, I’ve really missed my daily browsing!
I don’t know if anyone else saw it, but it was a hell of a shock to log in one day and be confronted by a giant burning swastika on my screen!!! 😮
