Wednesday (27.03.02) late morning/early lunchtime I was greeted with a curious sight of 10 (ten) of what appeared to be Wessex V’s travelling west(ish) I guess approx 10 miles north of London, anyone have any info as to what’s happening?

RE: Wessex V’s
Sounds like the retirement flypast of the RAF Wessex HC.2 from service in the U.K. The Wessex HU.5C was retired in the 1990’s from R.A.F service and earlier from R.N service.
