West Country Trip.

Hi all. This week went on a 4 day Break to Burnham-on-Sea in the West Country. Stopped off at Weston-Super-Mare Helicopter Museum, Filton, Bristol and R.A.F Lyneham.

Im currently editing/resizing my pics to show you. Hope to get a few up by the end of the night.

For now, heres an “exclusive” —> The First Air Madrid A330 (EC-IYB) Leaving Filton on its Delivery Flight Yesterday (13th May04)

Allen, the Air Madrid 330 is an ex-Volare Airlines Aircraft (I-VLEC) Which was in storage at Filton for around the period of 2 months. There is an airbus factory/offices at Filton. Airbus’ test aircraft often visit.

i dont think that plane is new but from a us airline or something and repainted at filton you should have told me you were coming to R.A.F lyneham i would have met ya there tsk tsk

Nice pics, can I ask why the A330 was being delivered from Filton? Is Filton a final assembly plant for A330’s, I thought Toulouse handled that ?

Nice photos!

Its the first photo I’ve seen of this Air Madrid. They look good!

I live very near to Weston and even nearer to Bristol Intl which is my local! – and my Uncle works at Filton in the Airbus UK offices next to the airport.

Are the EAL 742’s still there at Filton?
