Westland Wessex HU5

Has anyone any idea how much it would cost to rebuild the roof panel, the pilots central console and the rear fuselage avionics.

Ken – The vast majority of Wessex helicopters in museum collections are alreain a restored condition. I think your best course of action would be to post some pictures of what you want and see what turns up – Wessex parts are not terribly valuable.

And speaking of the cockptfest forum, Merkle appears to be selling a Wessex HU5 panel if your also missing that item.

Ken,

You could try on here http://cockpitfest.21.forumer.com/ a slight cross over but specifically for cockpits! 🙂

Opps!! Are you already registered??

Westland Wessex HU5.

Hi David.

I was wondering how much it would cost if the various panels were available. With so many Wessexes in various museums being lovingly rebuilt, I would think the panels required would be priced out of our reach,

so it would be self manufactured, but the photo’s I have are not very clear. It would be a case of making them. I rebuilt a Jetstream cockpit from scratch, thats the one in my avatar. I have priced it at just over £200. Getting good photo’s are the problem.

Ken – When you say ‘rebuild’ do you mean to totally manufacture from scratch or rework something which already exists?
