Hi everyone,
I’m in the process of recreating the Whirlwind for the FSX/P3D sims
and a lot of my research has directed me to this forum as much has been written here already, and it has all been useful, but I note that Stuart aka. “MrBlueSky” illustrates his post on the Exactor controls
( https://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?115728-Schedule-of-Spare-Parts-Manual-and-Exactor-Controls)
with a section from a photo (one of the original cockpit photos before it was artistically altered for the pilots notes ?) that would be extremely useful in getting those little details right.
I have tried contacting Stuart, but to no avail and I have been unable to source this in its complete form anywhere else ….. does any one else have this set ?
Cheers

Yes the facebook site is still active (well sort of , last info was April) but the website …. the one with all the info and tech stuff became time expired and has gone.
I did contact Chris Hayward back in May and he said they hoped to get it back soon.

The Whirlwind Project Facebook page was active in June.

Still no luck with those elusive cockpit photos, so I wonder if anyone could help with this trim indicator.
The wheel looks identical to the Lysanders, but not the indicator.
Anyone able to fathom out how the Whirlwinds is rigged ? or recognise it as being used on other aircraft ?

Aye, but I can’t use someone else’s model as a reference … it is only their interpretation of the aircraft and might not be that accurate.
Thanks

As an FYI, WarThunder has the Whirlwind, and a “Builders Program” for people to create models for players to use.
At the very least you can create new skins for players to use.
