Had the chance to visit the Helicopter musuem today while on a small vacation in the countryside. The museum itself was pleasingly well looked after and the exhibits are in good condition, Interactive exhibits at the start were informative and well done. Obvious care and attention is being given to all the exhibits and they all looked in good condition. The restoration areas are open to view and the staff were helpful and friendly allowing me to have a sit in the Mi-24. The collection is large and expansive covering important types and having important examples e.g. factory demonstartors, prototypes and two royal flight helicopters. Usually I’m only glad to see a helicopter when its saving me from the side of a cliff face ( 😉 ) but the museum is well worth a visit.

Thanks for the photos.. and i for one am pleasantly surprised by the layout and exhibits. Also good to see helicopters with there rotors spread, rather than just tucked back.

My Brother owns a GTD 350 so it was interesting to see it in its natural habitat!
