I’m not too hot on commercial aircraft, so can anyone identify this type, seen in 1961? Any info would be gratefully received.

Not the best looking aircraft ever, but at least the 126 had the excuse of being a flying test bed, look up Short Seamew and just think this was intended as a Fleet Air Arm plane, garden shed with wings is a polite description.

Yep, Aer Lingus took delivery of several Fokker F-27-100 friendship’s in the late 1950ties. It wil most probably be one of those.

I would say it is a fokker F-27. But I don’t know which subtype.
