On another non-aviation forum I frequent, there is a forum game for guessing airports.
recently this one popped up

My guess is that it is an American airport in North Carolina.
Anyone else have a clue?

Well, what’s the right answer? I would have guessed further north or west than Florida due to the lack of palm trees.

But, what I meant here, is I’ve never seen a Jetbridge exit a terminal building from the ground floor before.
That they can move up or down I was very much aware of.
They are quite a common sight Bmused55…
London Gatwick has a few at the South Terminal on the pier that normally handles the majority of domestic flights; simply because I can remember when boarding Jet2.com flights to NCL, if they ever used the airbridge (only very rarely, being an LCC!), the pax used to have walk up a flight of stairs to get onto the airbridge!:)

The neck of airbridges are designed to adjust up or down hydraulically to suit different aircraft types…you obviously haven’t travelled much!!!
Some of us don’t have the cash to travel as often as others 😉 I get on one aircraft per year, if I’m lucky.

I’d say it’s Fort Myers in Florida. Are you going to let us know whenyou find out?

Had a close look at Google and can’t see where you would get that conclusion unless the new terminal infrastructure has been completed on the lower right of the aerial.

Ok, I’ll bite… from the unmarked Dash8, I’d go for a terminal belonging to Homeland Security, precisely, the kind the INS uses to deport illegals.
Agreed on NC, owing to one of the flags.

Airbridges at airports where it is mainly smaller aircraft then airbridges are like that, here in DUB our airbridges are mainly used for A320s etc so when they put them on A330s it almost looks silly, walking up them can be interesting.

That’s a new one to me. An airbridge that goes UP!

Definately US territory as there is a Stars and Stripes flag flying from the roof, but more than that is a mystery to me.

You can clearly see an upward slope coming out of the building before swing junction.

I think its just going straight…not up. 😀

I’d say it was a regional airport in US somewhere
