what are the pros and cons of buying French?

alot of pro and cons are talked about American weapons..but how about French..

some stuff like..

pros: A western alternative to American weapons, alternative to Russian weapons, willing to sell to you if you have the money, usually combat proven and good records (mirage III in israeli-arab wars, M2K in Kashmir and Afghaniland), it sank two British ships 😀 🙁 .

some cons i found so far: very expensive compared to American or Russian equivelanto, sometimes it seems unreliable.. examples.. Taiwan buys M2K but rumors are that the French allowed the Chinese to check out their M2Ks and under pressure, probably will not sell any more to them. In Peru, seems like FAP has to be very sensitive when flying the M2K because one little part cost too much to replace, the Israeli unhappiness when France stopped supplying them, I hear the Australians and Nederland people had problems with their Mirages..
