What are these and are they genuine?

Saw these wings on evilbay:

I’ve never seen that design, anyone have any idea what they’re meant to be? They look fake to me, anyone have any thoughts?

Yes, it’s just a stylised A. This type of wing can be seen in Warren Carroll’s book.

Are you suggesting the ‘V’ is there purely for decoration?

They are not early volunteer wings, they are just a variation on the standard RAF wing. While wings are not my strong point I think that they are genuine.
