What colour is this Harvrad?

Does anyone know what this Harvard’s colour scheme consists of?

This was taken at Dunnville, Ontario, Canada.

It looks like overall yellow with maybe blue stripes on the wings and behind the canopy? And the roundel looks really odd? Was this a standard Canadian scheme?

Has anyone got a coloured shot of an aircraft in this scheme?

a¢j¸¼DK]Melvyn’s right (do you mean orthochromatic rather than pan?) if it’s the standard Canadian training colours, which is what it should be.

What I meant was “otherchromatic” y’know, the other one to what we are used to . . .

It looks like (as already stated) it was overall aluminium/silver – with those areas of contrast on the wing being where the buildings behind are reflected… Were the outer panels fabric covered and silver painted (hence reflecting the blue sky) with the inner being metal panels, which might explain the dulled appearance of the outer wing?

Stupid boy (that’s me)

Try this. Canadian Warplane Heritage Yale.

Note yellow rear fuse (i.e. NOT a dark colour – that snow theory was rubbish. Chiz.)

Not sure what colour the wing and rear fuselage stripes are. They’ll be there to provide contrast if the a’c is crashed in a snow lanscape, so a dark colour, but not black or red as they don’t match the areas we know are black (the anti reflective panel) and red (the roundel).

Over to the Canadians as I don’t have my pics imediately to hand.
Cheers!

I’d guess silver on panchromatic film that renders the yellow outer to the roundel dark.

I claim my five pounds. . . .
