I’ll own up straight away…I got a PC purely for game playing !
I might be ‘over the hill’ but I get a lot of entertainment from game playing. I’m not into strategy games or third person shooters like T*mb R**d*r, I’m into FPS (thats First Peson Shooter)action games and Flight sims
I did not buy a PC to ‘do home accounts or write letters on’ like so many people ever admit to, and I don’t run a business from home, I treat it as an entertainment system.
Oh, and I use it for the World Wide Wait but I’ve gotta say that since going broadband its speeded up dramatically, theres no turning back now.

Just installed Kotnet, the provider of the university. I pay 5 Euro a month for a cable connection faster than ADSL. Hehe }>.

well this one im on at home is for my mototbike club’s website ( i do some webdesign). but i mianly use it for surfing.
though surfing is much better on the cabel equipped computers at school

When I got my I had it upgraded right away as I wanted to play the latest flight sims (this was 4 years ago now), but I also bought it for my writing, and eventually the net as well. 🙂
I still have it! Runs well enough still for what I use it for, but look forward to a ‘dream machine’ next year. 🙂

I baught my PC for my needs for programming basicaly, now i use it for internet and games as well ….and my laptop i bought so that i can acces the internet wherever i want…and finish my unfinished games on long-haul flights…:9

I dont mind admiting Im a late bloomer to the PC/internet world. I didnt get on the internet till 1998. Im glad I didnt get on before that when it was still forming (95-97) as that probably would have been less of a mindblower as it was to me when I finally gave in, in 98. Does anyone remember how dorky PCs were in the 80s? I remember watching my freinds type all this gobldygook just to get these programs that look like gibberish running. Does anyone remember the game “Rogue”? What a mindnumb game that was. I sure as hell am glad I avoided computers then and got in to them now.

Firstly my PC cost nowt, a mate built it up out of ‘spare’ components from his office, as for use, primarily internet and secondly image collection (via internet and scanner) and editing, don’t use it for games, got a Playstation for that.
