New to the board and curious as to the birds you folks here fly. Mine is a C182 (182man π ) with about 650 hrs on it. Would love to move “up” to a Saratoga or a Lancair Columbia 400. Folks care to share? Thanks.
Also, how do you change the text below your username. Mine says “registered user” others have some nice custom ones e.g., FC = “Nutty but nice”. I know I have to get to User CP & Edit Profile. Where, in there, do I change the text? Thanks again.

You sure it was BYXP? I flew in it at Wyton in Jan 2001.
I’ve got 8 hours dual in Grob Vigilants, and 10 mins solo, 9 hours 50 dual in a Thruster Sprint microlight and 10 minutes solo, and I’m currently working towards my PPL in C152s, and have a grand total of 3.5 hours to date – soon to be taking a lesson per week though π
Im fairly sure it was that, thats the registration in my logbook. In fact yes, thinking again it was Wyton i flew from. Now i remember. It has been so long since i looked at my logbook as i left soon after that i cant remember.

You might try Trade-A-Plane at http://www.trade-a-plane.com/index.shtml. It’s amazing what shows up in their ads. You might also have a look at the Moscow Aircraft Group at http://www.moscowaircraft.com/sales.htm. Can’t endorse them, but they do have a MiG-27 for sale (almost a MiG-23).

Auster.
Moggy C, I would dearly love to, BUT, one problem, I come from a land downunder, in fact from the bit that has fallen of the bottom of OZ, called Tasmania. Recently had a phone call from the lady who in 1952 went to your part of the world, and purchased G-AIGL, now VH-AIK, and had it shipped back to Australia. She is coming to Tas to see the famous orange bellied parrott, and is paying me a visit, hopfully bringing logbooks and news paper cuttings. Sorry for getting of the thread, a tad.

Hello 182man. Good bus the 182. If you want to try something different, go have a trial flight in CSE’s SMA diesel engined 182.
Hi Camlobe, been away from this board for awhile now and just saw your post. I love flying the 182. Hopefully, I will get a crack at the diesel ones.
In the meantime, I got my AMEL IR and moved on to a 2003 Seneca V (PA34-220T). Love flying this one, but is very painful on my wallet.

G-AMMS probably one of the more famous Austers (was used at Farnborough in ’52 and ’53) is currently on loan from its Eggesford base at Leicester as we speak. Mr Langham is due a flight in her in the near furture (hopefully).

Nice list 1946.
Any chance of your bringing the Auster to Leicester for the meet-up?
Moggy

Last aircraft I flew – rather than flew in – was a Cessna 150, previously I,ve only flown C152, C172 and Tiger Moth. Something new on the books soon though. π

I am just in the process of letting my PPL-A lapse (having flown BΓΆlkow Monsuns, C152, C172 and PA-28) and have converted to 3-axis microlights instead. Cheap, modern, great fun and better possibilities for flying these aircraft near my home were the reasons. Currently chartering a Remos G3/600 from a local flying school, here’s one of them:

If you look on e-bay there is someone (allegedly) selling a bunch of Mig-21Us which seem to be ex-Czech AF.
By: Trinny - 5th February 2006 at 12:45
Which Mig 15 is yours?
By: SERBMIG - 5th February 2006 at 12:28

The intake ahead of me was the last of compulsory Parachute Training for Loadmasters, they only then did it for despatchers on Herks, and I was streamed onto choppers, which was a relief!
I did fall out of a Wessex once, but had my monkey harness on, so didn’t fall far π

C.150’s & PA -28. (with assorted C.172, C210 and a Robin. Just pleased to get airborne really. Although I have never seen the appeal of jumping out with a parachute, for fun. (guess that is better than having to get out without one, though!) Do other GA types feel the same way?
