Currently have T-6D G-CCOY under rebuild with the Beech Restorations guys at Bruntingthorpe, and T-33 G-WGHB in the early stages of tear-down here in Norfolk.

May God give me strength, please!

Phil

Doesn’t he like to show the girls as well! but really they are quite small and unimpressive, he tried to show me in the shower last week 😉

I fly a Grob Tutor from RAF Colerne. Beautiful aircraft to fly- if a bit lazy in the longitudinal axis. I have also flown a RAF Nimrod MR4 from RAF Kinloss, and been in the back seat of a BAe Hawk T1 on a CCF trip. Terrific fun, both of them! Ill see if i can dig out any photo’s…

So,

Since I have no stopped teasing I will ruin it with another pic.

You will notice that

a) Kylie has taste

and

b) I look totally knackered!

Looking good, Melv. BTW, when did Kylie last have her eyes checked….? 😉

Bought a share again this Spring by setting up an aircraft group. Meant got an hour or so on a Maule M7-180 GWALY) at Sywell.

Then have flown a few hours on my Maule M5-235 (GBVFT) but not enough. Like the Jodel, I’ve had a problem sourcing a full-time instructor with spare time. Arrangements have recently been made to fix this problem.

Hopefully can go solo and then some before bad weather of Autumn/Winter sets in ….

..and then went into a Jodel group at Bidford the folllowig Spring. But it was a poorly run group and the aircraft had maintenance issues. It toasted itself last year though I wanted to continue initially, l took the money and ran. Good riddance with hindsight!

I found out taildraggers can be fun by doing a tailwheel conversion and farm strip course at Clacton two years ago

Along the way, I have tried many an aircraft (sage advice from certain people) and yes a large amount of blagging, networking and luck involved. Here are some notable examples (in no particular order)

Wittman Tailwind
Europa
Miles Magister (thanks Hairyplane)
Kitfox Mk2 (tight fit)
C182
Gardan Horizon
Cub L4
Couple of glider flights (Hus Bos and Syerston)
Aviat Husky
Chipmunk

18 months later and long bouts of bad weather in between, I passed and of course, learnt about how to fly a Warrior.

I rather think Great Auntie Wendy here on BTBC looks like a bit like Mrs Moggy (about same age too). An ex-Moggy mount too 🙂

GYTO is a Warrior 3 and has taken me some time to master the twin GNS 430s contained within.

I first had a trial lesson about 4 years ago in a HR200 Robin. Spent some months a further trial lesson ina PA38 wondering if I could afford to take it up and which aircraft to fly in.

I finally though “what the hell” started and went for the Robin, though didn’t get the lovely Louise to fly with. Luckily John turned out to be a good egg and so did Rick later on.

Have been training on these three aircraft . I think the Warrior is the pick of the bunch.

Think I’d agree with you 🙂
