Basically a 400 but built with new technology and more fuel efficiency.

I think

What is the newer 747s? Like just a newer version of the 400 of a complete new model?

I flew with EVA Air back in 2005 from London Heathrow to Bangkok in economy class and back in business class on some very old 747s. Service was acceptable, food wasn’t too bad and the flights departed within an hour of the scheduled time.

They seem like a consistant airline so I wouldn’t be worried too much about it. 🙂

Again I’ve never flown with them myself, but a good friend of mine frequently uses them.
He speaks very highly of them. Have a good flight,
Adam

Some of my clients use Business Class or Premium Econmy (sp) on Eva Air. They’ve had no complaints. They still keep going back to them, so they must be okay.

Just be prepared for the chaos that is Terminal 3.
