What Do You Think Of This ?

Hello,

I know there have been alot of Pakistani/Indian stories going about such as India buying the phalcon, pakistan test flying the JF17 Thunder, and what not, but i have been reading alot of the other threads and i have come to this conclusion.

In the thread “Paf struggling to keep up”

i noted that someone said pakistan has forgien reserves of about $12 Billion Dollars which it could spend, i also noted that someone said alot of western airforces will be selling some of thier planes for more modern aircraft such as the spectacular JSF, and the F22 Raptor.

So i dare ask would it not be possible for the PAF to use these funds over the next half decade or so to aquire these slightly older but still potent planes in south asian standards ?

1. noted that people suggested that the Pakistani armed forces
spend more time and research on cruise missiles, i firmly believe that Pakistan should definitely manufacture cruise missiles, as big as the IAF maybe, and whatever number of SU-33MKI’s the indian airforce has it will not do anything if the runways/airfields are damaged, if you remember the arab-israeli war of 1967 the IDF/AF destroyed almost all enemy planes on the ground, this is one strategy that pakistan should exploit, remember it will burn a large hole in india’s military coffers to reinforce every bunker/ every runway etc.

2. Like what was mentioned, the PAF should keep its high training standard, and even make training tougher, remember that since pakistan is a smaller country with a smaller airforce and buget it needs to follow the “quality not quanitity” rule.
Baring this is mind forget the Pakistani F-16’s and the Indian SU-33’s for a minute, the majority of pakistan’s Airforce is made/will be made up of F-7MG/PG/ and JF-17 thunders, and in india’s case
upgraded Mig 21-s and jaguars, now baring this in mind do you really think that an indian pilot in a Mig can beat a more professional PAF pilot in a JF-17 OR F-7 ?

3. Pakistan as a smaller nation has the benefit of shorter supply lines and commication lines, like the Zahal/ sayeret matkal, pakistan has to reorganise its SSG to preform sabotage attacks deep into indian territory, destorying commincations etc, now if you remember the SSG tried to do this in a previous conflict it had dropped commandos near an indian field so that they could overun and capture/destroy this airfield. It was a complete disaster resulting in the death of many pakistanis at the hands of AAA, the israelis though used the sayeret matkal to operate 300km behind enemy lines these units caused chaos in the egyptian military, thus the pakistanis should reform there special forces to be able t ocarry out more daring attacks deeper behind enemy lines, also it will take the indians a while to go out to repair the damage due to indias great land mass.

4. I do agree that Pakistan does need modern aircraft, obviously it would not be practical for it to have all new modern equipment, its budget/ and availability of spares is a problem, since the paksitanis have been offered mirage jets, instead of the mirage i feel it would be better to go for the Rafale, it is a very powerful tool that will match anything the IAF has. Since pakistan has experince with french planes there wont be alot of akwardness.
These will have to be used in several elite squadrons, with Pakistans best pilots, since it can not maintain a whole airforce of rafales etc it will have to follow this example and leave the majority of planes to being JS17/F7. Basically PAF should stop dreaming of more F-16’s and stop wasting precious time and aquire the rafale.

5. Indian Airforce is Large, Very large compared to pakistan, but its not going to fit its Mig-21’s with BVR missiles such as the python 4/5 or the Iris or darter, pakistan needs to use more modern missile’s than india has if it hopes to be able to match india’s quantiy with thier quality, since the PAF still has not got a BVR missle it should forget a chinese varient, rather go for the IRIS, or darter these are the only two BVR that pakistan can get other than chinese bvr. Basically the PAF needs to posses more firepower, more punch than india, things like Fuel-air explosives will completely wreck havoc on indian ground forces, it will lower indian morale, and inflict massive casualties. Cluster bombs missles are also a very good addition that will completely close of roads/railways etc. Overall what it needs is overwhelming firepower, using everything available napalm, cluster’s, fuel air explosives, LGB’s, Dumb bombs and the like, and i guarantee that you will see crowds of indian soldiers giving themselves up like the iraqis did during desert storm, basically bomb ground forces into submission.

6.Like what was said earlier, psychological weapons are needed, basically pakistan needs to bring the war to india, and bring it very visably, long range cruise missiles could be used to hit government building in india without having to send a airplane anywhere near it, pakistan should stop dreaming of pounding indian cities with airplanes but more relistically look at ground launched cruise missiles.

Thank you
