It strikes me that the basis of many problems we come accross on these boards is derived from the display of each of our post numbers in the information under our name. I know many of the younger members like to place a lot of importance (almost some form of seniority) on how many posts have been made but in reality if we didn’t have this info displayed we could all get on with talking aviation with less disruption.
What are your views and if you like the number of posts being displayed can you please state how you think it benefits us having it there.
If I am alone in this thought I won’t pursue it any more but if a significant number of you feel the same I feel that in the interests of harmony we should consider asking webby to hide the info.

well if they do want a mod or 2 Im willing to help out, Im responsible (my wife will beg to differ 😉 ) Im over the hill (at 31) and I only work a 3 day week so Im around most of the time, Im also moderator on 2 other forums similar to these albiet it not Aviation forums.

I find it absolutely remarkable that a prefessional body such as key publishing can provide a facility in their own name for anybody to write what they wish and are completely unbothered about possible litigation! I had often wondered if webby observes without commenting but I think it’s now fairly apparent that they don’t watch at all. All the more reason for them to appoint some form of control.

I am. the reason I asked the webmaster to respond was to see if there actually is ANY moderation (or monitoring) taking place and clearly there is not.
