I used to regularly visit the scrapyard at Stock, Essex known as Hanningfield Metals/HM Sales. I would spend many hours amongst the piles of shredded aeroplanes, components, drop tanks etc and similar time rummaging through all the stuff in the two sheds and the containers and always came away with something that would “come in useful one day”…(41 British rivet snaps for £5 springs to mind:eek:) I haven’t been there for some years and then a friend of mine in Southend told me last year that it was no more and had closed after a problem with access of some description, though the “film props” side of things was still trading out Danbury way somewhere. What’s the story? The website link doesn’t seem to work anymore nor the phone number I have.

Looking at the site on Google Earth shows it cleared of scrap and just some cars there, however it also shows the Blenheim parked outside on the grass at Duxford…

I recently purchased some parts on eBay from the former site owner. He stated that he had shed loads of stuff to list so it looks like the outlet for most of these parts will now be through eBay.
Anyone know what happened to the Viscount cockpit?
