What happened to the Baginton B25?

I remember a few years ago, maybe 10 or 11 years ago, there was a B25 Mitchell “dumped” on the grass on the far corner of Baginton airport. It had no outer wings, engines and much of the aircraft was missing or damaged. A friend and I had fun exploring the old bomber inside and found the nose to be full of concrete blocks, put there i guess so it didnt tip onto its tail?

I was told a tale that the guy who owned it had “dissapeared” and hadnt paid its storage fees and so the aeroplane was dumped outside, and soon fell prey to vandals and thieves, although how the local kids are meant to steal two engines I dont know.

Anyway, it dissapeard soon afterwards, does anyone know what happened to it?

Tim

The B-25 I believe has gone to the museum at Brussels.

I remember it being stored with a JU52 (CASA licence built example) as well as a number of film props including a certain T6…

I believe the collection was owned by Jeff Hawke

No idea where it went from there (here) though !
