What Historic Airshow Teams or Aircraft do you miss the most?

I miss the RNHF three ship formations they used to perform at airshows.
Obviously the Firefly is sadly no more. I used to like seeing the flight together and when they managed
to formate, albeit briefly, it was a great sight.

I also miss the Harvard Formation Team with the Zeke getting shot down.

Just wondered what acts or aircraft you miss?

A bit of a blast from the past, but over on this side of the pond we used to have an RCAF team called the Golden Hawks flying Canadair Sabres painted gold.
Still remember the noise and smoke. Not forgetting the RCAF Snowbirds which is now the display team. They put on wonderful shows. Actually it is nice that we can now
call it the RCAF again.

Yes, I’d have to echo the vote for the Hannas. And the Mossie as well. Some of Neil Williams’ Pitts and Spitfire displays, and almost anyone flying Hunters, singly or in big Roger Topp formations. And going right back the extraordinary aerobatics of Zura Zurakowski in the Meteor and the CF 100 at Farnborough. I don’t think Dan Griffiths would risk it in the T7 today!!

Mosquito definitely. Also the unique survivors of their breeds – Desford, Miles M.18 and GAL Cygnet – which were all airworthy with the Strathallan Collection but would need a change of policy with their present owners to see them grace the skies again.

The Breitling Fighters. Four different types flown in close formation with a well thought out routine. I guess we’ll never see the like again.

The Mosquito.

Nothing compares with the sight and sound of that aircraft.

Regular show attendees can get blasΓ© about aircraft they see regularly. But there was never a time when I failed to watch every minute of the Mossie’s routine.
