Can AMX-ATA carry the Derby BVR AAM?
The newer AMX the ones operated by the Venezuelan Air Force carries Elta EL/M-2032 radar thats capable of supporting BVR missile launch. This would enhance its A2A role.
This would make a good point defence fighter which can do A2G and naval anti-shipping duties. Good for small air forces.
You guys know how much this aircraft cost? I think its much cheaper than the Hawk 200, which can also launch BVR AAM’s because of its APG-66 radar. Which is one would be a good buy?
