Well as said, if you’re looking to move it on we do need one for our Horsa project and a repro is fine.

To be honest, if it’s a repro for the purpose I need it would be “good enough” and I wouldn’t have a problem with it – unless of course someone selling one wants stupid money for it. :S

Well spotted if that is the case. I’ve seen a repro for sale at, iirc, Brooklands auto/aerojumble so someone is making them.

I must say, though, that when these giant photos appear in threads, requiring me to use a slide to scan across them, I can’t be bothered with them. Too much effort I’m afraid, but it seems to be happening more and more?

Nice piece but I think that this one looks like a very good reproduction thought.

Incorrect knob, hex head screws, no latch to lock the send/receive lever, no holes to allow the teleflex cables to pass through the unit. I believe you’ll find that the send/receive labels on the frequency dial are cast in and cannot be unscrewed like the originals.

I know this because I used to own one exactly like it.

Yup as Bruce says. I believe the full description is “10D/8907 TR9D Controller, Remote, Type C2” but don’t quote me on that.

Used to tune a TR9 radio from the cockpit and fairly generic, not just Spitfire or Hurricane.

We’re actually looking for one to buy (or borrow to make a replica) for our Horsa cockpit as training gliders were fitted with the TR9.

Teleflex radio controller. Early war, and yes for Spitfire amongst others.
