I just saw these pics of a new Lufthansa 346 at TLS at it has very strange marks on the forward fuselage. What are these strange markings, paint shop mistake?

rekkof – fokker. Rekkof is the name of the company that tryed to re start FOKKER and they are still tryingsorry but it is not paint remover, you may be right about the name being wrong that can ,but it has been rubbed down, and blown in with primer.why not resprayed with white after blow in???? it was in the paint shop[or should have been] other side will be the same i think.
Has happend at Fokker with the first SWISS AIR , name was measured from the wrong window shoud have been the first window which was a dummy and was not on the drawing. so was rubbed down blown in with primer resprayed with white and the name reapplied.
Ah, now thats different. It seemed tlike you were intimating it was a repair… the way you’ve put it now seems much more plausible. I agree with you now 🙂
Looks like the folk at Airbus aren’t infallable after all 😉
ps, what are the chances of “rekkof” being successfull do you think?

Sure looks to me like the titles have been removed
Look at it, the “distruption” is conentrated on the lettering.
Are you saying Airbus repaired a sectionm that happens to be in the shape of the word LUFTHANSA???
As for masking, why would the windows still be masked as its taxying for a test flight? So the absence of masking does not mean it is not paint stripper.
Besides, the aircraft is brand spanking new…. what would possibly need repairing?????
I still think its Stripper

looks like a repair of some kind and the rivets have been blown in with primer. happens more than you think. [aircraft paintsprayer]
That makes sense

if you look close you will see that the engines are running ,looks
like its going for a test flight so its not masked with tape, looks like a repair of some kind and the rivets have been blown in with primer. happens more than you think. [aircraft paintsprayer]

Mmm why is there also a white dot in all the windows underneath the yellow bit. The titles look masked up (maybe for white spraying) but then why would masking tape etc produce yellow streaks?

Anyway it lookse like a biting product! the paint just wasted away!
If it’s not paint remover, then why is the paint removed:).
