Hiya All,
I love commercial aircraft to bits and want to pursue a career in working with them at the airport’s and I want to be those people who load/unload baggage from the aircraft, re-fuel and pushback. But Iām getting confused on what the title of this job is, is it a flight dispatcher or baggage handler. Because different people are describing these both job title’s different and I was wondering if you could give me an honest answer.
Cheers!

Basically, at large commercial airports you will have several dedicated airlines or handling agents each employing people in various roles
Baggage Handlers – Load and unload baggage
Load Controllers – Concerned with weight and balance of the a/c
Flight Dispatchers – Supervising a/c on turnaround
Cleaners – Clean a/c during turnaround
Ramp Operatives (Title varies company to company) – Carry out pushbacks and a/c towing etc
Traffic Officers – Check-in and passenger escort duties
Refuellers – Fuel a/c (Tend to be employed by the applicable fuel company)
All the above will be confined to their own specific role.
HOWEVER, with smaller companies and at smaller airfields it would be quite common to see a lot of the above being covered by one person
